Press for Ruby

Our culture has never known what to do with the grief that women go through after a miscarriage. Gross’s brave drama asks how a woman lives through that trauma, and what lies beyond. -Indy Week

Gross takes us on a captivating exploration of her journey, broadening our understanding of a situation fraught with complicated and conflicting emotions.” -Beltline to Broadway

Readings and Zooming in these Strange Times.

I began 2020 performing in a staged reading of Beck Lee’s play Us Against Them directed by Eric Marciano at Pangea in NYC. This year I was thrilled to help workshop two new plays, Elizabeth Versalie’s Social Climbers and the Undiagnosed Nervous Breakdown at La MaMa in NYC and a Zoom reading of Tom Franco’s My Alexandra directed by Apollo Dukakis. More to come!

Alexa Garcia for Drama Queens Reviews calls Susan Gross' one-woman show in the 2018 Planet Connections Theatre Fest, Ruby, "a real gem" noting "this emotion-packed tale would probably make you cry if it weren't for the clever bits of humor peppering this one-person narrative about a woman's journey post-miscarriage... a powerful night at the theater. You will laugh, you will cry, you will learn."
